My experience as I watched "Ming-Ming"

#5.

It was a rainy Tuesday evening (July 24, 2012) when I with my block mates ate our dinner at Chowking. Our class on that day was finished at exactly 6:00PM so we hurriedly took our dinner to watched the "Ming-Ming", a kind of play to be perform by the Integrated Performing Arts Guild (IPAG) of Mindanao State University - Iligan Institute of Technology (MSU-IIT) because it will start at 7:30PM. We rushed in entering the campus because it's almost late and the play has about to start. We've went our ways to the MSU-IIT mini-theater, located near the administration buliding, because that was the venue where the "Ming-Ming" will be perform.

As we arrived there, the ushers told us that we should hurry up because we are about to missed the play. We presented our tickets and directly went inside the dark and solemn venue of the play. As we entered the theater I felt an extraordinary amusement as I experienced the ambiance of the place. The characters of the play were already there, and seemed to look like statues, no movement and were prepared already. We've sat and waited for that play to start and I was so excited because that was my first time to watched a live drama.

Then the play begun in a few minutes. I was shocked on what I've saw. It was a different kind of play composed of six characters namely R, I, P, the two "tonongs" and the main character Ming-Ming itself. It was new to me because honestly at first I didn't understand what was going on with the play and it was so confusing. The dialog of the casts were so difficult to analyzed. There were no interaction between them. There eyes has its own direction that you cannot determined whom they are talking with. Absolutely there are some connections with that dialog but for me difficult to know what it was.

When the play was going on, I slowly understand what was the story all about but not that fully. It was about one family, a Moro family. The story was about three different generations but was played simultaneously in one stage. The first generation was the time of R, the grandmother of Ming-Ming. It was all about the broken hearted P, who was Ming-Ming's uncle who admired R but did not win her hands because R was destined to marry P's uncle. The second generation was about the life of I, who was the mother of the main character whose story was about her forced marriage to a Sultan. Because she didn't like  that sultan, she escaped and went away to Manila to have her studies and there met her professor whom she fell in love. And that was the father of Ming-Ming. Because of that Ming-Ming was considered as a taboo child.

The third generation was Ming-Ming's generation. In that generation, the life of the main character was described when she was already at the adolescent age. There stated how difficult and horrible life she had. She was imprisoned in a room because first, she was a taboo child and second she was very hard-headed when he was sent to Manila to have her studies, and it seemed like he inherited her mother's attitude. Ming-Ming died by killing herself. She mixed Valium with wine and drank it maybe because of the hardships she experienced inside that room.

After watching that play, all I can say is it was so terrific and a one of a kind. My one hundred pesos was so worth it. Though it was my first time to witnessed that kind of play, I can say that among the hundred plays worldwide, it might be the one of the most interesting and the best play.

It all begins

#4.

It was 17th day of September year 2010 when this amazing and unforgettable event in my life happened.

I was still 3rd year high school at that time, and I was already a member (lay-out editor) of "The Carpenter", a school paper organization in our school. It was a pleasant Friday afternoon and already dismissal time. We were dismissed earlier and have been told to go home directly for the reason that we will be having our overnight for the first issue on our publication of the paper. Instead of following the instruction being relayed, we did not. In fact me and one of my closest friend, CJ, went out of the school and bought something to eat. After eating and we were already full, we decided not to go home yet, that's how hard-headed we were. We entered the school campus again because there were still many students playing, lingering and doing many things.

As I and CJ entered the gate, I was stunned on what I've saw. A girl in black, long hair, white complexion and very BEAUTIFUL that causes my eyesight to stocked on her. She was sitting in the hallway while texting. CJ, with a loud voice shouted  and uttered this words, " Joe, gwapa kaayo oh, dalaga na pajud kaayo. Pangayoan nato ug number." I was shocked on what he said and because of shyness and astonishment, I refused because that girl might heard what my friend said. We went on our way and as we walked to the auditorium I was not on my mind, I am bothered with different kinds of feelings and honestly I want to go back to the girl and approach her but it was too late when I knew that she was already gone and went home.

During our overnight, my mind was still thinking about that girl, the pretty face she had and the stunning beauty that catches my attention. I didn't went to sleep, instead still recalling that girl until the sun showed up and it was already morning and that overnight was over.

(photo during the overnight and also the day I meet that mysterious girl :] )
Days have passed, I still feel that incredible feeling that disturbed me so much. I keep on longing to see her again, and so it happened.

As I walked with CJ again passing the Computer room, I saw that girl with her classmates and found out that she was still Grade 6 at that time, but that didn't stopped me from my aim to know her. I found out also that one of her classmate was my neighbor and on the other hand friend of mine. We asked about that girl and YES! Guess what? I got her number :).

Sad to say, the first time I texted her I haven't received any reply. But that didn't discouraged me. I keep on texting her until one night, Sept. 24, 2011, at CJ's rooftop, one text message arrived (7:37PM) and there it goes, her name registered on my inbox. How happy and excited I was at that time. I hurriedly open that message and to make the story short, that was the beginning on how we know each other.

A big slap landed on my face with unexplainable "ouch" feeling I felt as I knew that she was already in a relationship at that time :'((. But you know what ? I still didn't stop to fight my feelings for her.

One day she texted me that she and her boyfriend already broke up. I am not happy because the broke up because I'm not that rude kind of boy. Instead, I feel hopeful that maybe, I will be the one to heal the wounds in her heart her boyfriend gave her.

I did not court her directly after their broke up. I have been compassionate enough to wait until she will be fully moved on from that situation in her life. I waited for five months. Within that five months, I didn't felt any boredom in waiting, indeed my feelings for her grow stronger. We share a lot of things, talk sometimes and we have been texting almost all of the time, trying to cure her broken heart

After five months of waiting, I've decided to court her because I can't keep my feelings for her anymore and frankly I want her to be my girlfriend. February 1, 2011 came, the day which I've planned for five months that I will court her. I saw her with her cousin in one classroom in our school. I am so nervous at that time, I want to back out but my great love for her gave me the courage to get inside the room and approached her. She was about to leave at that time but thanks God! The rain poured and her leaving was delayed. We talked near the door of the classroom. As our conversation went through, I surprised her by saying I love her so much and I am there in front of her to court her and win her hands. She was shocked and did not say any single word. I thought she would not say yes because she remained silent at that time. I told her that if she was still confused I am always ready to wait. If I waited for five months to court her, I can do it again just because of my great love for her. Then after a few minutes, I was surprise on what she told me. She said YES. At that time I did not know what to do but all I can say is I WAS SO, SO, SO, HAPPY at that time, that the girl of my dreams was already my girlfriend at that time. :) :) :)

(FEB.01,2011- photo of my courtship to her :]] )

At it all begins. We are now 1 year and 5 months in our relationship. There are so many problems, trials and challenges but I know we can surpass it. All we have to do is to trust and to be loyal with each other to keep the spark of our relationship. Of course we should maintain the everlasting Love we've felt for each other. Even though it awkward to hear but all I can say is, SHE is the one I wanna be with in the near future. By the way she is Ena Marie G. Exclamado, the girl whom I love so much and my love of a lifetime. :) :) :) <3 <3 <3

Is it ReaL ?

#3.

The day we were born and was exposed in this wonderful world, God given us a very special gift, the gift of life. We are sent in this kind of world to make good things, enjoy our life and fulfill our individual missions, set and programmed by God. When this mission is already done, even though it's sad to think but we should accept that everything in this world has it's end, including us. This is the time where death took place.

Death is inescapable. It will come at the right time in our lives. No one is exempted of this. Everything that came from "womb" will end up to "tomb". We never know when that time will be, no one knows. Death comes in a sudden, unrecognizable and we should be prepared enough for it. Since our lives are just limited, we should spend our time in earth wisely. Allocate it for the things which are important, give more time to your family, show your love for them, make every moment meaningful and unforgettable, because when your time here in earth is finished, it will never ever come back again.

It is very hard to accept when someone you love, specifically one of your beloved family members will depart. So much pain will be experience and questions why that love one should be took away. It hurts more when you recall your memories being together and sharing a lot of happy moments then suddenly will be grabbed by death, without even noticing it's already over.

Moving on when someone dies is not that easy of course. It takes weeks, months, years or even more to forget the pain being planted in our hearts when they left. We even find ways just to see them even inn a ghost form, through dreams and imaginations, satisfying ourselves that they are really there, still communicating to us and still with us.

But the question is, IS IT REAL that there are ghost? or it is REAL that they can communicate or give signs to us that they are still there for us? The passage "The sweet and unforgettable day" is the best example or way to convey that this is true. Some maybe convince by it, but some are not. Maybe, those who were convince have there own experience about this things and those who did not have none. But experience is not the bases for us to believe in ghost. We need a great proof that this is real, sufficient evidence and pure reality. Confusions now took place for this situation, where we will believe.

For me, I haven't experience any ghost thing, I will not say it's false and I will not also it true. I will just explain my side regarding this matter. First, I will say it is so confusing because for instance as what I've said, it's not easy to move on when someone in our family will die. So this might be the reason for these things to be build up in our minds, believing that they came back to communicate with us. Imagination of not sure things takes place because of  the hard up in moving on. I did not say that it is false, but for me it is still a question left unanswered.

In general, I think this things are not important, whether ghost are true or not. The important thing is we have shared a lot of happy memories with our departed love ones and this moments will never be erase nor death will be the reason for us to forget all about it and not to continue our own lives. Wherever they are now, we should be glad that they are now experiencing the everlasting life with God and living in peace. And I'm sure, even if ghost do exist or never, they will always be there for you.

Introducing ViellyKid

#2.

A baby boy was born last December 8, 1995 at Poblacion, El Salvador City, Misamis Oriental. That baby was born very healthy, cheerful, very fat and for his parents, he was the greatest advance Christmas gift to them.

By the way that boy was baptized last March 3, 1996 and was named as Vielly Joe L. Fuentes, and that was me. I am the youngest child of Mr. Lito B. Fuentes and Mrs. Elvie B. Fuentes. I have my older sister named Gezelle Mae Fuentes - Torregosa, she is married now. I am recently residing at Zone-1, Poblacion, El Salvador City but now I'm here in Iligan, a boarder of Apao boarding house because I am now a first year college student studying BS Electronics and Communication Engineering here in Mindanao State University - Iligan Institute of Technology (MSU-IIT).

I finished my high school at St. Joseph Academy of El Salvador and graduated there as a class Salutatorian in our batch. I really enjoy that high school life, full of enjoyment, trials and most especially, a lot of bonding with my friends, the PHILOSOPERX, my friends of a lifetime.

Let's step back to my elementary days, I studied at El Salvador Central School, just a walking distance from our house. In six years, that school mold me into a responsible human being and help me learn and realize a lot of things in life. By the way, I graduated there as a class Salutatorian also.

More about myself, I'm just a simple guy, kind sometimes, smiling, very friendly yet honestly a hot tempered kind of person. I easily get irritated especially when I'm in the state of seriousness, I'm just silent in that times. I try to change that attitude but I can't. There might be a little changes but not fully. That's who I am and I cannot forced myself to become new.

I love color black and white, fun of eating chocolates, fried foods and many more that will satisfy my hunger of course. I'm fun of surfing the net, going through adventures, places that I haven't gone yet and fun of texting almost everyday.

I am a music lover, love the songs of Kamikazee, Parokya ni Edgar, Silent Sanctuary, Linkin Park and also Bisrock bands. Additional to my information, I'm into a relationship now and we are 1 year and 5 months already. She gave me much inspiration and strength to finish my studies because I have to. For the reason that her family has a high standard of accepting the guy who will be their daughter's partner in life someday. Even it is hard to believe, some will think it's a kind of foolishness, but I can say that she is the one I wanna marry in the near future.

I just live in a simple life, we are not rich. My father is a carpenter and I'm so much proud of that, my mother is just a plain housewife. They really struggle and exerted so much sacrifices just for me to be sent in college. Though it's really hard to have a child studying in college, they just ignore it and instead think that beyond that hardships, I will be the one who will lift my family from poverty, and I will do that. I made that as an inspiration in my stuides. Poverty will not hinder me to reach my goals and I promise, I will not disappoint them from their expectations.

So much for that, I may not have mentioned everything about me, but just see me in personal, and you will fully know who is the guy named Vielly Joe L. Fuentes or simply Viellykid :)

I Stop to Say THANK YOU Pa and Ma

#1

Parents are precious gifts from God. Without them, we are nothing. They are the one who truly loves us heartily, a kind of love which nobody can surpass. They are the one who exerted so much efforts and sacrifices just to raised us and mold us as a responsible individual.

Nowadays, we, teenagers, already forgot the true essence of courteousness. Sometimes, this will lead to the implantation of the lack of respect to others which is done unintentionally. Even a single "thank you" to our fellow human beings, friends, people we've encounter everyday and most especially our parents, we missed it to utter. And there it goes the common alibi of this behavior, being in a hurry.

As I started my life being a college student, so many changes in myself burst surprisingly which I haven't notice. I don't even know what are the roots of this things, basically the changes in my attitude.

Now that I am mature enough as what I feel within myself, I often forgot to express thanks to everyone, which is not a sign of maturity indeed. Worst than this, the persons whom I didn't thanked most of the times, are the persons who sacrifices a lot for me and love me most, my parents. It might be that I'm just shy to say those words to them or whatever reason it is, but I know it's not an excuse.

Everytime they will sent money for me every week because now I am far from them, I can't remember even a single situation that I say thanks to them, how much more when I'm in front of them expressing what I feel and how thankful I am to have them in my life, supporting and loving me so much. Instead of doing this, I usually pretend to be busy and I'm in a hurry when that instance in my life occurs. Reason behind that, I don't have the courage to thank them for all the things they've done for me.

But now I realize, this is a kind of immaturity, a sort of being not respectful to them, and not being a good and responsible child to them. I should cut-off this kind of childish attitude since I'm old enough. A little and a simple thank you, I cannot express to my beloved parents who did all their best just to give all of the things I need? How fool I am not to be strong enough to do that simple way of expressing love. Now, I am starting working it out to delete this kind of attitude towards my Mama and Papa. I should be brave enough to thank them before it's too late, because I know, even how simple this "THANK YOU", that's the best way for me to value them and how I love them so much. Thank you so much for everything Pa and Ma.
